ASIAN JUMP ROPE CHAMPIONSHIP 2026
The Malaysian Jump Rope Federation wishes to inform that Malaysia will officially not participate in the Asian Jump Rope Championship 2026, which will be held from 30 July to 5 August 2026 in Zhejiang, China. This decision was made because the funding application submitted to the National Sports Council ( Majlis Sukan Negara) for this championship, which was processed on 5 June 2026, was not approved.
The Championship Committee of the Malaysian Jump Rope Federation convened on 6 June 2026 and decided that Malaysia would not send any participation to the above-mentioned championship. This is the first time that no funding has been provided for the Malaysian Jump Rope Federation to participate in an overseas competition, unlike in previous years.
The Malaysian Jump Rope Federation hopes that all coaches and athletes would be able to understand that the participation in overseas competitions requires substantial financial support to ensure smooth organization and management of the event.
